When you are in a foreign country, it can be difficult to access your personal health data and share it with the health care workers in the country if there is a problem. This is why an application containing our medical file in several languages could be useful. This service is not intended to be lucrative, it will be financed by the European Union with the aim of improving the mobility of its citizens between Member States.
The target population is actually very large since all you need is a smartphone to benefit from this application. Obviously, the public interested in this application will certainly be a public that travels relatively regularly.
The service offered is therefore an application that would contain our personal health data. The idea is that these data are extremely well protected by an encryption system. It will therefore be possible for a user to enter his medical data: he would enter basic data such as blood group, allergies, possible illnesses such as diabetes or people to contact in emergency situations. The doctors consulted by the user would be able to fill in a small summary sheet at the end of each consultation, as well as related official documents such as prescriptions or X-rays. This will essentially do two things. Firstly, a doctor consulted abroad will be able to consult this history and thus better refine his diagnosis. Secondly, it would allow a pharmacy to take into account foreign prescriptions (only doctors with a certified account could enter prescriptions into the application). These two services would work on the principle of QR Codes which would be scanned by pharmacies or doctors and would give direct access to the patient's medical record translated into the language.
Other applications offer medical monitoring but more on a personal level, it is not really about communicating with health professionals and bringing an international dimension.
